OK so I got this reman head to replace my original 66 head and I knew already they didn't have another 66 head, but I specifically requested a non air injection head and well I noticed the other night that indeed they gave me an air head. Even on the box it came in it says w/o air but then it says "with rotators "? Did some of these heads have valve rotators? Or is it talking about something else? Anyway my main question is, will the air head affect performance at all or do I need to get a no air head? Its got the revised combustion chamber so that's a plus. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Not an expert by any means, but the head on Ryan's Dart is an air injection head. The inlet hole at the back of the head was capped off. The head was ported normally and it works fine. No problems.

You'll have to cap off the air injection ports, and the head will be unnecessarily heavy, but other than that it will work. I'd be more concerned about the quality of machine work and parts used; my experience with "remanufactured" parts is pretty uniformly awful.

Errr... I don't check the forum much on the weekends, too much "other stuff" going-on.

The only SL6 to get exhaust valve rotators were the trucks and industrial engines.

As for the later "air" head, those work just fine but they do weigh about 10 lbs. more then the tube / non-air heads.
