It is rumored that Spitfire c/o Harold Johnson 479-474-1551 was gearing up to make a batch for under $200.00. Don't know if they ever got produced and don't know anyone who has ordered them. News of these becoming available were discussed in several post about 4-5 months ago...Dave

The word is that Spitfire is no longer in business.
I have seen that a number of people had ordered V8 headers from them and got "stiffed".
Is far as I know, Spitfire only talked about making SL6 headers but never actually produced a set.

Thanks for the correction, Didn't want any legal repercussions by noting I have also heard they stiffed several customers, but was unaware they were out of business. Relieved that I hadn't made a final exhaust decision at the time or I would have been one of his victims...Thanks Doc...Dave

Go to www.kollerdodge.com....in the search put the Mopar part number and they will give you their internet price which should be around that price. But the price only good over the internet.

Found this on the Early Valiant & Barracuda message board (posted on Oct. 22nd):

Well I found Harold. He told me he had fallen on hard times because of a long illness of his wife. He's starting to make the Spitfire headers again. He knows he made some people mad, but he said he's going to make it up to everyone. So if you had ordered header or would like to order, he can be contacted at 1-479-629-7425 (weekends work best). Or write him at: 2823 HWY 348, Rudy, AR 72952. Time will tell, let's see if he will deliver. I'm giving him a chance.

I just spoke to Harold, and ordered a set of V-8 headers. He said I should have them in about 2 weeks, $175 plus COD. I asked him about the slant six headers. He said he is still plannibg them, but not at this time. He wants to correct the business/customer problems first, and make things right. I suggested, when he does the slant headers, he consider the 170 also. He will let people know, when the slant headers are available.

Good to hear that Harold wants to "put things right" and did not simply take-off with people's money.
From what I gather, Spitfire is a small "one man show" business so you need to take that into account when dealing with them. (Him, being Herold)
