hi guys. well i have been busy working on my supercharger addition to my slant. im getting close to firing it up for the first time, so i will be asking a lot of questions about timing. i will only be running around 5 pounds of boost if my calculations are correct. i had custom pulleys made to run it 10% underdriven for now. here are a few pictures to stir up interest.

here is the adapter plate i made. it mounts the b&m 144 onto my offenhauser intake.

here is a shot of everything mounted up. my custom pulleys worked well and i was able to get a belt from the local parts store. just had to give them the length i needed.

VERY cool! Should be a fun ride.

How did you get the snout of the blower made to line up with the pulleys on the crank? Hard to find such a long snout, AFAIK...

Now thats badass, I'd love to do a blower setup with the those sweet butterflys that open when you hit the throttle that 3 butterfly kind of air grabber.

"Cough Cough" fast and furious 1 the black charger just like that.

i bought it used off another forum for 600 bucks. im going to have it gone through in a couple weeks. new seals and have the tolerances checks. i think thats going to run 3-4 hundred depeding on parts and service required.

Have you hollowed the bottom side and grid of ribs machined to lighten that brick of aluminum? This weight is a concern especially with the design of intake.

i havent hollowed out the bottom. eventually im going to taper the opening of it to match the opening in the bottom of the blower. (if that makes sense) this should remove some more weight. since the supercharger is so heavy, i used a piece of 1/4 inch steel with a 90 bent into it. it bolt to my motor mount bracket, and then to the under side of the intake to support the intake. you can see it in one of the pictures.

here are a couple more pictures just for the heck of it. the first is another shot of the support bracket. notice the valiant emblem drilled into it. i thought it was a nice touch. then a couple pics of the adapter plate before i drilled it and had it cut down. it weighed 14 pounds before i started.

Wow, that is quite a restriction. Tapering the opening would certainly be worth it.
