what carb (s) can i use on a slant six 2 barrel with solid rod linkage?
its getting hard to find carbs that are not cable operated.
maybe dodge truck carb. 318 cu. of certain rear would bolt up and
solid rod linkage would be correct. vehicle is a 1964 dodge dart w 225 auto.

There were no factory 2bbl set-ups used with the "rod" linkage.

If you want to keep the rotating-rod throttle linkage and add a 2-barrel, you'll have some fabrication and adaptation to do. See parallel 2bbl setup.

I built an adapter to put a 4 barrel in my 63 valiant years ago. Found it recently buried in the shed and I plan to use it with a factory 2 barrel manifold and a carter BBD (elec. choke). It will need a few modifications but you can get an idea of what I did from the photos. Just cut off the rod at a length so that it will fit in the hole and rotate. I think I used nylon bushings from ace hardware. Weld or clamp an arm to the rod to attach the rod ends to.
