So, I haven't had much time to work on my slant lately since my dad has been in the hospital, but I did get some free time today to rebuild my PS pump and get it back together. Everything went smoothly until I tried to put the pulley back on.

Turns out my GM saginaw pump pulley installer doesn't thread into the shaft. The shaft is internally threaded but the the size appears to be much larger. Does anybody know the the bolt size for this pump so I can get a grade 8 and some nuts/washers to press the pulley back on?

BTW, this pump has METRIC stamped on the snout. It's off an 82 D-150 with factory PS. I don't think the pump has ever been replaced either.

8mm looks very close to 5/16,10mm is slighty larger than 3/8,12mm is slightly smaller than 1/2.

I know that, I need to know the thread pitch. looks like it may be a 9 or 10 mm.

For "standard-American" metrics, 8mm is 1.25 pitch & 10mm is 1.5 pitch. I'd cut a slot in a spare bolt & use as a thread chaser. The inside threads of a P/S pump seem to be the rusty-est I have ever seen (the less room I have to clean them up means the worse condition they'll be in)
