Car Model:
I have a small bolt pattern 64 Dart with 10" brakes installed. The front needed new drums the ones on the car had been turned slightly off center, yes this really happened. I bought new drums, took the new drums, the old drums and hubs to the shop with new studs to have the new studs swaged (s.p.) on. The next day I get a call from the shop the new studs don't fit, too small, can't use those studs. I go to the parts store and they measure the studs they are about 6 thou. smaller than listed in the catalog. O.K. the ones I used were Dorman we order in Raybestos they are the exact same one's as Dorman, I mean the exact same ones right down to the printing on the head of the stud and of course about 6 thou. too small. We try another pair of hubs same size as the one's I've got, no difference just identical to the ones I have I was hoping that they might have been small and the studs would magically fit, that didn't happen.
Anyone out there know where one might find new correctly sized wheel studs.
