Okay, so I'm contemplating going to a two barrel, but I was wondering which one yielded a better gas mileage for you? I'm currently getting 18 mpg best. I was wondering if I drove the car with a two barrel the same way as I drove the 1 barrel would I see better or worse gas mileage? Right now pretty much all my driving is winding, hilly country highway.

Thanks,
Seth

Tuning and driving style will have much more effect than 1bbl vs. 2bbl.

Same motor I got better mileage (sometimes) with a BBD over a BBS.

I think the BBD spends more time in a more efficient range than the BBS.

The sometimes part .........WOT with the BBD will get worse mileage.

For better mileage in hills and curves focus on advance curve.

I got better mileage with a bbd than with the stock 1bl. I was nearly always driving for mileage. Certain models of BBD have more tunability with adjustable metering rods. I would look for one of those. The most common complaint with the BBD is worn throttle shaft bushings.
