I'm still working on my Turbo 62 valiant /6 that when I started the project I converted the push button 904 to a 833 OD but like all projects I decided to convert back to a 904 with a rev manual valve body and was wondering what size stall converter. This is going to be a full street strip car with some serious strip time
All help is much appreciated
Aaron

Here's some more info 2.94 sure grip, I plan on shifting at around 5200 rpms
I'm running a Turbo grind cam with around 489 lift with 1.5 ratio but with stock rocker arms I no its actually less lift because of the 1.4 ratio

Terry I just did some research and I highly doubt that I have a different gear set it's a standard 904 TF that I'm going to put a Rev manual VB in and let her rip lets just hope she doesn't rip apart

It really depends on your motor torque. W/o information, I'd say get a strong 9.5" converter built for 3000 stall on a Slant.

if your trans hasn`t been rebuilt lately then it probably doesn`t have the lower gear set . it is an easy swap from any new lockup style 904 /500A trans. it can let you run a taller rear gear and still have a good lower ratio.

When my car was auto I liked my edge converter could foot brake it between 3000 to 3300 rpm. Drove it everyday to highschool and work and raced all the time at test n tune, doing lots of burnouts leaving car shows.

It is important to consider what RPM your turbo starts to spool. FWIW I have a turbo action "medium 10 inch" that foot brake stalls at 2,600 RPMs with my 0.460 cam S/6

I have a 175k stall mopar convertor. It is supposed to stall about 2500rpm bebind a big block. I can make it stall pretty much wherever I want. Foot braking i make it stall about 3400rpm.
