Looking Good Mark!..

How Do you get your lexan to bend at such a severe angle / radius for you windshield?

I love it..

I cant cut into much of Ruster's structure yet until I get me a roll cage.

I'm not real big on the "Toad" car's styling, but that's a personal preferance.
I gotta say, Mark, I am diggin' the hell out of what you've done with that car, especially the hood treatment. What is that.....white-painted, expanded steel?
Lots of detail attention there, too. Individual panels on the dash cutouts and cowl grill, quite a bit of swiss-cheese treatment, both underhood and in the door jambs. I'm not too sure what you're doing with the combination of louvers and swiss-cheese treatment, though. Is that a flow-through ventilation system, or does it relieve internal air pressure buildup?
Care to explain the "extra" panels on the doors and roof? It looks like you may have cut out the steel there, in favor of lighter weight aluminum. Maybe it's just me being lazy, but that seems to be quite a bit for a small weight savings.

Roger

Expandend aluminum on hood.Louvers to relieve air pressure,,,,flow tru.Back of trunk panel has lots of holes.Cut openings under fins above tail lights so i get no build up of air trapped in trunk. The aluminum panels on one side took two days, got about 6lbs out. Will bee painted black after I am done. Now I gotta do it all over again on the other side.My nitrous system with trans blanket is adding about 40lbs ,so I am trying to pull 40more lbs out so I can go for the A nitrious record.Roof will get two more aluminum panels, that will get about 2 more lbs out, probably 4 hrs work.Yep, I am sick. Then I am cutting tops of fenders and replaceing steel with more aluminum.Mark

Wow - incredible craftsmanship. What is next titanium pieces parts? Mark, before the next big race - diet, shave your entire body, and get a colonic.  The only thing left would be to have a medicine man perform some sort of ritual.

OK.....from the pics it kinda looked like that was the idea, if one assumed you did the treatment to the back half as well.

Pssst!....Hey Mark.....paint adds weight.

Ok.....trading the weight of car for the weight of power adders. Quite reasonable for a drag car.

Yep, I am sick.
Sick?......Naaaa....maybe a bit of OCD. You have a goal, and are striving to accomplish what needs to be done to reach it. Good luck with the record-setting. It's probably gonna feel good to read your own name in an official racing document.

I may have to borrow that hood treatment idea, though. I think it would look good on a street car, if done right.

Roger

Richard,Yes,cause I will never bee as old or light as your boney ass.I keep thinking about haveing you make a pass in my car because of your lightweightness, but then I am afraid the quickness of my car might cause you a heart attack....and I will never forget my first ever run down the track at Vegas when you beat me and stuck your tongue out at me.Yea,I was in the SANDSTONE stock car then.Mark

Dude, I'm drooling again. Can I come visit you on either the weekend of March 24 or 31?? I'm serious... Maybe I can learn a few things.
