I went to the local NAPA last week and gave them the part number, and they said there were 2 in the warehouse. Next morning I had the long tipped one in my hand. $ 5.60 I believe.

at work we use federated auto parts, i know they usually have ''standard'' products, would the echlin rotor cross over to something from standards parts line?

I went to Federated and ordered the "premium" number Cap and long tip rotor and both of the numbers were still in their system. But when they came in, they were both wrong.

Bad to worse, I'm afraid. Accel got cut loose when Echlin was drowning, and the Accel "performance" rotor has been just a regular white short-tip one (of not very good quality) for quite awhile now. I went a few rounds with Accel, now owned by Mr. Gasket by the way, and the guys there were idiots who struck me as not knowing a rotor from a raspberry. :-(
Update - it seems the Mr. Gasket group is now owned by Presolite, for those keeping tabs on that kind of thing. My biggest recent experience with their products: A while ago, there was a Porsche 944 on our dyno at work where we suspected an ignition issue. We replaced the original stock coil with an Accel Super Stock. The car lost 5 hp with the Accel coil.

well i'll tell you my experiance with napa today...

i drove into town to return and order a new/correct rotor...

so after a 40min drive i get there and they said they cant return an online purchase... so we go back and forth on that a bit...

then i told him the issue us slant guys have with getting the right part and he says i'll order 4 if you like but i will not do any refund if they are not correct!

so he did give me the tech number for echlin tech... its...1-800-732-4832

so im gonna call them and have them refund my rotor for a correct one and have them check it before it ships... so will see how that plays next lol...

so after having them send me a ups label, ship back my old one, then have them ship another one(told them to check it before it left and the assured me it would be the correct rotor... well it wasn't... again its tan with stock tip...

so im just gonna run it as i can wait for another...

any way you think you could just drill the rivet out, make a peice out of brass plate and screw it back on?

then is it really worth it?

I was able to get the MO3000 from NAPA last year when I did the HEI upgrade... I did however get the off center ground cap, and was not able to use it...

Oh, and I did put better terminals on the Hei at the bottom if the pic...
