Hi guys, been over at slantsix.com for a little while and thought I should come over here too. I need some help in deciding whether or not I should keep my recently acquired Super Stock springs or put them up for sale. I already know they ride very stiff which is not a big deal to me, but if the rear end is going to be sky high I should probably pass them along. Does anyone have any pictures of an A-body (preferably 70+) running super stocks? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a set of Super Stock springs at Spring Fling. I'm not sure if I want to run them either. One side is stiffer than the other. I asked a similar question a few months ago. The feeling I got was that they do jack up the rear some and not the same on both sides making the rear kind of "wonky". One guy said he modified his front spring hanger to compensate.

Here is the link to a pic of my car. I have the ss springs but I flipped over the front spring hangers. I really like it this way. They do make the car sit a little off level but I adjust the t-bars to level out the front and no one but me notices it isnt level in the back. These springs really make the car hook up. But if you dont use them let me know if you want to swap em for something or sell them cheap.

Could you just flip the hanger on the stiff side? Would that make it sit right and give you the all the benefits? I do a lot of highway miles. It would probably be better if I had regular springs. I'd trade my SS Springs for a pair of HD springs. They're used but in pretty good shape. I'll post some pictures if you'd like.

No you wouldnt want to do that.that would be to much difference. But someone does make front spring hangers with 3 different eyes. With those yor could probably level out the back. I have seen them listed on moparts before.

Unless your serious about drag racing, a HD set of springs are better on the street. Trying to level out the cars stance when using SS springs defeats the purpose of them. Anyway, most slants on the street aren't making enough power to need them. SS springs don't help much until the car is running 13 second ETs. HD springs with the battery mounted in the trunk's right rear will help more than SS springs with a front mount battery.

Thanks 74! That dosen't look bad at all, I think I will go for it. I know the ride will be stiff, and that I dont really need them yet, but I know that eventually the car will run the number so I might as well get it ready.

My two cents. If Nosser and M.A. were to swap 1 spring each, they could both sit level.
