thanks....i will certainly charge it.
i guess i'm greatly underestimating how long the charge should stay. the battery is 4 months old and has been used several times.....seems like they sit in the auto parts store for longer than that.....

Probably a parasitic drain.

Put an amp meter on it and see how much current is flowing.
