Norm I will bring your Hooker Comp. headers over to the Banquet if you want. They would not fit my Valiant due to the A/C mount. Sorry they wont work I sure wanted to use them. Maybe someone there will want to buy them.

There wasn't another reservation for Sam (slantfish) and Norm and Elaine Foster's reservation was cancelled.

Sorry you won't be able to make it Norm and Elaine.

Sam, could you check on your reservation to make sure you're good to go?

I will be calling the Valley Forge Inn on the 15th to cancel any reserved rooms not spoken for at that time.

There are some other folks that I anticipate coming. Some have said they're coming and others I just assume will be there...

You can add 2 more to the list. Whitney and I will be coming down to visit a friend who lives in knoxville and will be there friday and saturday. My friend andrew may come along with me too. He has never raced but he was at mason dixon watching us a few years back. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I got a nice letter from Mr. Pete McNicholl!

The former "Ramcharger" won't be able to make the banquet this year, but said he would like to attend future banquets!

He can't come this year for a couple reasons:

He recently had knee replacement surgery and can't make the drive from Michigan so soon after his surgery.

He had to move his surgery into the winter months so that he could attend the 10th Annual East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame Reunion and Induction 14-16 October in Henderson, NC.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame this year for his Lifetime Achievement Award for his efforts as a member of "The Ramchargers"!

In 1963 he ran a rail dragster with a Slant 6 in D/D class. His best speed and E.T. was 127.86 MPH / 10.66.

I'll bring the flyer and list of records he sent me to the banquet.

Wow! I would love to meet that man. I believe Seymour and Doug have been in touch with him several times over the years. Would be great to get him to next year's banquet!! Maybe he would be interested in giving a presentation on the Slant 6, or any of his Ramchargers (or later) escapades?

I met and heard Bob Tarozzi at a Mopar roadcourse event (Spring Fling Speed Festival 2008) and that was pretty cool.
