Once again I've run across an anomoly, it'd seem.

I gutted the master cylinder on my dragster for inspection and a bit of reworking (for it's new location and linkage style).
The guts're somewhat different than anything I've found on a Valiant before. :?

The bore's 1.037" rather than 1.000", the piston exterior design's quite different, as are the seals, and larger (to match the bore). The seal contact points however, are the same distance apart, and the same relative location from the backside.

The body casting (except for the bore), pushrod, piston interior, and the rest are the same as my other masters, exactly what I'm used to.

The pictures show the outsize piston on the bottom .....

.... and on the right.

I've already invested some time in modifications to the unit, so rather than swapping it out for a 1" piece I'm seeking information on what I have, and where I might find refurbishing parts as well.
Any ideas?
