Okay, I'll get this party started!

Here's some of my predictions for the 2012 racing season. Feel free to add to this list. Anything goes. Do a copy/paste to keep it going like the Best times and Records threads.

1. Of course, I have to start it off by predicting that Mater (me ) is gonna whoop up on Cookie (wvenable) in "The Ultimate Slant 6 Grudge Match"! It won't be heads up, cuz even my "slow" car will be faster than his. I'll even give him a chance and we'll do the best 3 out of 5 deal. Ain't I generous?

2. I will make some passes in more than 1 Slant 6 vehicle this year.

3. We will see at least a dozen brand new faces join us over the course of the year.

4. The National Champion Traveling Trophy will stay out West with the Killer Bees again this year. Yes,... I'm an East Coaster. I'm also somewhat of a realist. At least when it comes to other people...

5. Guzzi Mark will have some issues with his new nitrous set up at Vegas, but will work at it until he re-sets the A/Nitrous record later in the season. His other A and B/Gas records will be safe this year, but someone will take the C/Gas record.

6. We will finally see a couple Slant 6 powered dragsters show up to set some of the new AA records. Brent Laney will set the bar nice and high at the Mo-Kan race 28 April in the "Green Grenade". He and Mark Goodman have teamed up again to build a sweet looking FED. It's good to see Team Green back in action with another Slant 6 project!

7. We will see at least three people return to race with us that have been absent for several years.

8. Mason-Dixon will have the highest car count for the year.

You need to take it a step further though and predict when you'll have a car out to race with us. Alpacas come first, but then it's all about racin'!

I predict that Doug Dutra will put together some strange new Slant Six engine combination, that has never been done before... and it will not make his car go any faster.

I will attend 1 Slant race this year, and it will be in Cedar Falls.

Have to have my car ready because Wookie will have the red car in Clay City.

I predict that Mason Dixon IV will be a 50 point race, which will be the first one on the East Coast for a while!

Also predict that there will be at least 4 turbocharged cars at Mason Dixon and the possibility that there could be 6! No kidding!

Also predict that there will be at least 4 "new" cars or highly modified cars of the past there also.

Also predict that one Covalt will make it out of the 1st round on both days! (6 car team)

Is there any slant races in the mid west I'm in Michigan and hope to have toad ready to go by the end of April will still need some test and tune time but would love to through my hat in the ring
