Hey Dan thanks again for the reply

Now I just need to figure out how to make piston stop
You can make one if you want, but you had already stated that you had removed valve cover and correctly 'found' TDC by wiggling the rocker arms. The stop isnt need @ this point, all is needed is a mark on the pulley @ the TDC location of the timing tab...

So there is absolutely no difference between the relevant parts of your car as it exists and the relevant parts of your car as I described it. Very good. This means you should have no trouble following the simple step-by-step instructions that have been provided.

thank you

i wish i had owned one of these and had been working on them for years like many others if so i would be much smarter. but i was able to get a new mark on the pulley and got it timed and running good. Now i just need to ( for now) take care of the carb issues and all will be well until the next problem arises.

I was also able to find a chart that says the engine is a 2463430 225 1960-1967 (RG-series) and narrowing it down even more with this number B 225 5 20 and i believe it is a 1966 engine

thanks everybody now off to lurk the search function

That is excellent news!

There are but 2 rules to the search function:

1: Use it often!
2: See rule #1.

i do use the search function a lot but while some info is of general idea and use many of it is geared to a specific problem a person is having.
