Can a 3sp clutch fork be used in a 4 speed od bellhousing? I have purchased 4spd od bellhousing that did not come with the fork and was wondering if a 3spd one will work or be modified to work.

It's from the same type of car...The fork from my 1974 A-230 is the same as the forks from all the 1975-1980 A/F body A833OD's...It will get kind of hinky if you try to use an early '60's fork.

Hinky you say, I'll try to avoid that! I have a '71 D100 3spd, do you think that one will work? I am replacing the 3spd with the 4sp od.
