Careful when reinstalling the sending unit. Some aren't made terribly well. Where the metal tube attaches to the plate, isn't a very secure connection. When I had to remove my sending unit apparently I pulled too hard on the rubber hose to remove it and the metal tube developed a hairline crack at the baseplate and started a leak.
