Hi all, I'm ready to install my 8.25 rear and I wondered if anyone know the overall length of the 8.25 drive shaft or the amount I need to shorten from the 7.25 length?

Is there a recommended tranny mount for my 62 valiant auto? I have the poly motor mounts, but thinking about not going poly at the trans? But open minded about it...

Cheers,
Barnaby

Barnaby,
On my Dart I have poly for motor and rubber for trans, so far no problems.

Thanks Richard, I think that is the direction I'll go. I'm doing my best to have it ready for Woodburn...

Any thoughts on those drive line measurements?

Cheers,
BT

I had a poly trans mount in my Duster. It transmitted a LOT of vibration into the car.

IIRC, you will need to shorten your driveshaft 1.5". I know that is close, but don't remember the exact amount I had mine cut.

I had a converter that had a weight issue and it nearly shook the windshield out of the car.
