Not original hpak exhaust. Most likely 1980s-up Mopar 6 into 1 headers. If the rust is mostly surface, and the engine starts and runs with no smoke, maybe the car is worth $1500-3k? Really hard to tell from those -pics.

If it runs and drives clean, stops well, and runs 16s in the 1/4, then $5k is OK. Otherwise, he is full of smoke.

About what does a completely stock 225 in an abody run in a 1/4?

If that's the carburetor linkage in the last picture it's not the Hyper-Pak intake manifold, but something shorter like an Offy.

I wouldn't give him over $1,000 for that - there's a ton of work to be done to make it presentable, even if it does have the more rare aluminum block.

With highway gears and stock everything, about 19-22 depending on year and other factors. With some minor improvements noted here for "gas mileage" you can go into the 18's....With much more involved improvements still with stock hardware...about 17 is the limit...

I can find a better looking road toad for $5-800 in Oregon, I'd say the cost of the intake manifold and headers would be worth $500-600 depending on several factors...aluminum block...unless specifically collecting them, or you know it's in really good shape...it's worth scrap.

Um.

The body of that car is about as "solid" as a politician's promise.

Rusty steel tube headers: NOT Hyper-Pak equipment.
Common short 4bbl intake (I think I may detect the Offenhauser "O" logo, unless my eyes deceive me): NOT Hyper-Pak equipment.

$5K? No.

It all depends upon what you're looking for. Personally, I wouldn't touch the body, but build a screaming H-pac motor for it and surprise some people. $5k is quite steep, though!

Ok. I'm not a big fan of the body style but I'd LOVE to have some original hyper Pak stuff!!
