I'm looking at purchasing a BBP 7 1/4 rear assembly (brakes and all) for $50 (see parts for sale section). I want to put it on my 71 Dart swinger 2 door when I go to discs up front.
I don't have the car with me right now (getting it moved down here in August) so I can't pull out the measuring tape and make sure the track and spring perches are the same width. How much of a hassle would any fitment issues cause and would it be worth it for the cost of the assembly? The owner has said he's not sure what the 7 1/4 came off of.
In summary- should I just buy the thing and deal with fitment or could it cause me massive headaches and/or premature hair loss?

Thanks, Josh

Not much else fits an Abody, so it's much better to start with the proper rear end. Get some measurements from him, and someone with a car handy will be able to double check if it's the right widths for you.

Actually tech archives on Moparts has the widths. I am wondering if it has 10" brakes. I'll check in the AM.
