Hey guys I was wondering what was best. I havens a 1982 dodge d150 2x4 and I am just starting it as a project would it be best to keep the 225 or a 318?

Depends on how you plan to use it. I have a '85 SWB van and love the character of the slant. However, I sure could use a 318 or bigger for all of the heavy-haulin that I do with it. I have a partially-built 440 that might make things interesting but I think I'll stick with the /6. I just can't be in any hurry while carrying a load.

Im not planning on using it for hauling more for car shows and town driving not to worried about mpg

If you are building a cruiser and not a hauler, then keep the six for sure.

keep the slant six. Everyone at car shows has a V8. The six will make that puppy stand out. :lol:

putting the v8 in a slant vehical is a crrime aalso alot of headache/work....mounts, trans/bell ,springs/torison bars,radiator

What hantayo13 said. Keep the slant if its going to be just a cruiser and show goer. Heavy hauling pulling I would do the v-8 thing, but not necessarily a 318 either... But in the end it is YOUR vehicle..... :wink:
