I am just west of Cody, WY now. Should be there for t'n't Friday, if not earlier than that.

Can anyone tell me if they'll be sticklers about a batt cutoff switch (batt in trunk)?

If so, I'll have to mount the one I have. Maybe one of you kind gentlemen could bring a cordless drill and a bit or hole saw ~3/4" diam for the switch??

Lou

Looks like I will be there just after lunch if all goes well. Due to my hectic work schedule I won't be packin' some bent-6 marinaded steak with me...but I do have some handcrafted drinks that will sit at the bottom of my cooler...for those times when Barney Fife and the golf cart squad isn't around....

Drill and a selection of bits and hole saws are loaded up. Most everything is in the trailer.
Hoping to get off work at noon so I can motor up with Fopar.

Looks like I'll get there somewhere around 4-5 PM, if all goes well. About to sleep in Missoula, MT now...

Did I read that right? spectator admission is 25 per adult per day? Sorry, wanted to hand with the Slanters, experiencing a bit o sticker shock.

Yep, prices have gone up and it was $10 for the test and tune night ($75 for the driver and his car...but most racers if they just hot lapped, got 10 or more runs in...). $75 to race all weekend, $25 for adults each day, $5 for kids.

I'll let the officianados chime in on the action, but to post a spoiler the final run was PJ and CJ....

Weather has been nice in the morning, the the track has been warming up fast all afternoon and lots of people are going slower than anticipated dial....which did not help Mark trying to back up his record MPH (tomorrow will hopefully be another story).

I had a great test and tune...then today threw my fan belt unless I kept the RPM under 2000 (no power there....)....Final in the staging lanes my clutch sounded like a box of rock and something was not right, so I loaded it and went home...will return for pit crew/moral support tomorrow morning to see how (want to personally thank Bruce Pine, Linda and Beth for helping get my duster on the dolly after the clutch 'jerked' and I overshot the tire carriage

12 car count, not bad...will be 11 tomorrow...

Joe ran with us today, bringing car count back up. Hopefully somebody got a photo of his Dart. It is unique! :D

Lou won today, and Guzzi Mark took runner up honors!

It got hot. Dave and Doug keep a thermometer in the camp, and it saw 100.9° F.

Downright toasty.

Walt won the Inliner, with Mike took second. A bit of a shuffle in that points race! That puts Mike on the top of the inliner. He'll be working hard to keep it that way. It's a tough crowd.

PJ won the slant six on Saturday, and I came in second.

I turned the Hooptie over to the ladies after I made 11 passes on Friday night. The timing worked out well. Beth made a total of four passes, two with Linda along for encouragement! she got the hang of the tree, and posted a respectable 0.060 RT. Her ET is still about a second slow with the car, because she cant matt the throttle out all the way. We'll have to get her some platform shoes!

Lou and Mark headed for the Columbia river gorge a couple hours ago, so should be up above the Dalles somewhere by now. Next stop; Bonneville! :D
