Remove the hairpin clip from the short pin presently occupying the end of the throttle cable.

Remove the short pin.

Install the end of the throttle cable over the long pin attached to the carburetor throttle lever.

Install the hairpin clip in the groove of the long pin right next to the throttle cable end.
