I've found the question asked, but not answered: Can I buy a spare, or is it only available as a warranty replacement thing?

If I remember right, it's a sleeve that fits over the standard stock type rotor. It's been awhile since i've been inside mine to recall.

I had to replace one years ago but I had the same problem. I finally bought one from pertronix. Never did find out what application it really is. That would be good info. for all who use it.

Yes, you can buy a spare - they cost about $10, but you need to supply the model of the kit you have.

That's what I thought (until I opened the box).

Thanks for all the responses.

I'll contact Pertronix. (if it was once a sleeve, and it changed to a proprietary rotor, I'll ask and see if I can get a sleeve instead. I'd rather use a MO-3000), and post what i find.

So I'm an idiot.

It's just a sleeve over a regular rotor. (Plastic same color, and my eyes are bad.)

It's different for each application. Some have a sleeve, some don't.
