I just talked to Frank and he will not be able to make it down. He was hoping to come race the Slantkota but its not going to work out with his schedule this time.

Looks like I will be bringing the Valiant and towing it with the Dart. Whitney will race the Dart (which she's only ever driven maybe twice)

I have a set of front and rear sway bars that should be here in about a week, that should help with stability when towing. The Dart was actually more stable than the Dakota when towing for whatever reason. I'm hoping the sway bars help a lot for the 10 hour trip. There is a chance I will have the nitrous working on the Dart too. Might try to give charlie's record a challenge if everything works out.... might be too scared to try it 10 hours from home though. We'll see. I will be thrilled just to get the race car on the track again. I've attempted more races then ever and i've raced less than ever I'm really looking forward to this one! Hope to see you all soon.

I would love to come, but it's not in the cards. About 2,100 miles round trip, 5 nights of motel, plus race gas, nitrous, entry. Total is close to $1,000 (have to allow that much, anyway). Don't have that much "play" money available.
Track treats us great, and I have done good there.

Charlie i'd love to get into a good back and forth nitrous battle with you in the future. It would be great if you could make it up north again this year, but I understand the cost of everything keeps going up.

In all reality I don't have the slightest chance of challenging your record right now. I was just hoping to put a little pressure on it. I am still having issues with my nitrous but I was hoping to get to run it soon, just to see what it will do. I more than likely will not run nitrous at clay city unless I decide to test it a few times. I am hoping to run some nitrous at Mason Dixon if all goes well.

My #1 goal for Clay City is to get to race the Valiant!! I've towed the car many many miles and I will be thrilled to finally get it back down the track.
Whitney is nervous about racing the Dart but i'm sure she will have fun after she get used to it. 4 speed, no power steering, no power brakes, the ideal car for her to learn on I think.

Same offer as at Elk Creek Ryan. Chase and I can swap around driving whatever if Whitney decides not to drive the Dart. We'll have Chase's Demonster and GodsRods Duster II there.

Chase can drive GRD II and let Whitney drive "Stella". I can bang some gears in your Dart!

(I plan on going out in the first round anyway... )

Hate to finally say it but I will not be there. The last three weeks have been a challenge for our family. My son broke his hand playing football and my sinus infection has become pneumonia. I am on my third round of antibiotics and will probably be off work most if not all of this week.

Mater will just have to wait for me to kick his arse when I am feelin better. Hope everyone has a good time and please give us the play by play.
