Converted from a newer orange box (junk) to an HEI setup today. I used one of those coil/module/heatsink deals off a '98 Jimmy and mounted it on the lower horizontal part of the passenger fender (just behind and under the alternator). Anyway, I wasn't able to get an ignition wire for the dizzy cap to the coil because of the odd combo. So I ended up having NAPA put the correct connected on one end of the wire that I pulled the coil from.

The current wire works, but its from a junkyard and I'll want to replace it with a nice magnecor, anybody (Dan?) have a part number for this wire? Or know how to describe the odd connector on the coil?

Does it have an end like a spark plug on the coil side?

I just made my own using some of the those accel universal plug wires. Don't get the copper core ones unless you enjoy making the neighbors TV go nuts when you drive by.

No, it's smaller than a spark plug. And the clip has to reach down into the coil. Kind of an odd connector and napa didn't have the stuff to make one. I also tried the part number from the HEI sticky but that didn't fit.
