Are these good/worth the money? I have been looking for UCA´s for a disc brake conversion and came across this listing on Ebay.

With a shipping location of miami florida I would expect they were made in a nice 3rd world country south of the us. Most made in china garbage ships out of california. If they are of decent quality that isn't a bad price for arms with BJ's, bushings, and cam bolts. When I went disc I bought RMS arms for $300 and have had poly bushing squeeeeeeeek ever since, but no other problems.

In principle I don't object to a Mexican-made suspension part the way I object to a CHinese-made one.

Read down in the listing. Says not for disc brake conversion.

Yes I have seen that but what could be different? It is a large balljoint upper controlarm for a 73-76 A-body.
The same seller also has a kit without the cambolts and that listing says nothing about that and its the same partsnumber.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/200775821756

I also found this archived discussion:
http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/arc ... 60006.html
last post is someone who has bought them and he says they are made in Mexico.

I have sent a question to the seller asking about origin of both the UCA´s and of ballljoints and bushings. No answer yet.

See FABO - New Upper Control Arms.

If you need a pair of UCAs, I'd look at getting a tubular UCA. This will get you the ability to adjust the alignment for better caster and camber. If you have the time, wait for a set of OEM UCAs to come up for sale and use the Moog 7103 offset bushings.

It appears the seller is unaware that disc and drum brake cars used the same UCAs when they went to the large ball joint.

Actually, I don't believe there was any year where disc brakes and drum brakes used different UCAs in a given year. I can't recall, but I think some years had different ball joints from disc to drum.

I wouldn't risk it. Probably best to buy a used pair from a member here or on FABO and then get Moog bushings for it.

40 year old beat up metal is better than brand new cheap/shiny metal. Plus it says it's not for a disc brake conversion, which makes no sense. It's the lower ball joint that needs to be changed in a disc conversion. The upper control arm can be used on either.

Thank you all for your input. After reading that thread on FABO I have decided not to buy them. I will go with som other option like used OEM or tubular.

Why are you shopping for car parts on ebay?

That's like going to the grocery store for a hernia operation.
