What lower ball joints to use?

I tried to connect my 73+ spindles to my 64 valiant lower ball joints and the bolt sizes are way off. I thought I read I was fine to use my ball joints due to the steering knuckle. What ball joint do I need to use to make this conversion work.

Can I possibly drill out the 64s lower ball joint holes and ream them out to the bigger bolt diameter of the 73 spindle.
