these were designed with the direct drive prestolite starter in mind and even then you had to modify (index the starter housing to clear) and move the starter solenoid to another location like the firewall or inner fender. My understanding is that they wont work with the later starters not even the mini starter.
That is all true. Possible new fix, see here.

That Valiant is begging to be painted Panther Pink/Moulin Rouge. I always thought that that color went well with Mopar's light blue interiors.

Just some mental notes on a virtual piece of paper. Plans for the Hyper Pak Nascar Valiant will include:

1. Heater delete
2. relocate battery to the trunk
3. rear seat delete
4. custom made/covered door cards (originals carefully stored away)
5. front bumperettes removed
6. possible side moldings removed ala V100
7. pair of van seats up front
8. custom hand/parking brake between the front seats

Can anyone think of anything else....I don't have any guidelines to follow and am taking some liberties and creating what I think would be a purpose built car. I was able to find a front sway bar for this car as well. I plan to install front disc brakes w/ dual master (probably scarebird set up) and fast turn manual steering.
Anyone with ideas/thoughts just throw 'em out there......funny how such an old car can catch your fancy!

Yeah... Im just going to go ahead and admit that I am absolutely 100% jealous. Especially over the exhaust manifolds. I look forward to hearing more about it.
