OK, so my dart suddenly started running rough. The first thing I thought of was a vacuum leak. Nope. I found that my distributor was moving. The bolt that holds it down was secure, but the other bolt was loose and allowed the distributor to move within the adjustment slot.

I assume this second bolt is supposed to be secure, the distributor should be secured in a single position. The thing is, I can't seem to find a position within that slot where it runs normally, as it did just prior to the "event."

It's burning too rich now, idling rough. Can't seem to find the right adjustment, even though it must be within that slot's range, right?

thoughts?

If you are running too rich, the tiing need a little more advance to make it light the fire sooner and lean it out a bit. On a slant six that means you turn the dizzy body counterclockwise. Hopefully it's not a full tower off.

Try that and see if it gets better.
