Check the casting number under the valve cover.
There is a listing in the articles tab "Table listing Heads, Crank & Block variations" That has most of the common numbers.

Other than the improved chamber design change in '68 I dunno :?:
EDIT: Oh, there is the hardened exh seats in '72+.

Combustion chamber redesign, drool tubes vs. peanut plugs, rear rocker shaft bolt change, air injection tubes, square vs. rounded valve cover, extra ports in the water jacket for coolant operated vacuum switches and sensors, different sized coolant temp sending units. Some of the various differences between 1960 and 1987.
