Everything is finally taken apart for the front end rebuild/disc conversion and it appears that one of my LCA strut rods is severely bent. Is this something I should definitely be looking to replace and does anyone have a suggestion for where to acquire it (junkyards in the area are not too great)?

Thanks
Josh

Replace it; you don’t want any bent frontend parts. Also try to determine why it is bent, and is the K member or other structure on that side of car out of whack.

Thanks. From what I have seen, nothing else seems to be out of whack. The strut bushing on that side came out with the rod in about 3 pieces, maybe more. I'll make sure I give everything a thorough look. Should be much easier to do after everything is clean.

A bucket full of strut rods...let me know what year car, and let me know if the threads are coarse or fine on the K-member end and I'll see what I have laying around. Say $5+shipping (saves having to take apart the suspension in the junkyard...).
