So while at work today I decided to check how my vacuum hoses were holding up. Well one snapped right away, the one hanging off the 'snorkel' of the air cleaner. As shown here it's the one right above the thermostatic air cleaner damper. Well when I got back from Napa with my girlfriend's car with some hose length and when I opened up the hood I could not find the left over length of hose! Can anyone help me find where this connects to on a 225 Super Six with a Carter BBD? I don't remember it going under the carburetor as shown in the picture. I'd show the picture of my car or the vacuum diagram on the underside of the hood but I can't get to an image hosting site at work. Even telling me the name of the device on the air cleaner could get me somewhere since I have the vacuum diagram.

Thanks guys.

Look at the back of carb closest to master cylinder down by the base of carb.

There was a capped nozzle on the front of the car on that same side. No open ports on the back of the carb though. I could have sworn that the hose came from the other side of the hood. The hose from the radiator to the EGR valve was taken off the EGR and blocked so I assume someone got half way though some work on the system and stopped.

So I got home and removed the air cleaner and I am real confused comparing the hoses to the diagram under the hood. I uploaded some pictures of the diagram and parts of the vacuum system that don't line up. If someone could take the time to check out the pictures and compare it to the diagram I would appreciate it.

Here is the diagram under the hood. You might want to keep this open if you are going to check out the other pictures

This is the Vacuum Solenoid Valve which seems to have an extra hose coming out of it, not shown on the diagram. I think that 'extra' hose coming out of it goes down to the distributor and is the only hose that does.

This is the left side of the carb if you are looking at the car. The diagram shows two hoses coming from this port. How does that work? The diagram shows the same happening with the distributor.

Any advice how I should route these hoses? I have the NOx valve. Are those dotted lines an either/or type thing? So i follow the dotted lines if I have the NOx valve?
