I was trying to get the 64 Dart finished but don't think it will be done. Still have hope, 3 weeks left.

Some guy we all know has his blue Dart sitting in my car port.Maybe we can all cheer him on to get his butt out here. I won't mention any name(LOU). !!

Hey Guys,

I am really sorry, but I have a work event that I cannot miss on that Friday and Saturday. This bums me out that I cannot come. I will make a trip out to at least one Slant 6 event this year, hopefully not long after MATS.

Romeo, you have my permission and blessing to run my car at MATS if you want! We can make sure I have the right hoses plugged in on the wastegate for 6 psi so it's easier on the motor. Call me if you're interested.

Nope, I have a rule, I won't drive others autos. Even when working on cars for a living.The boss was the test driver.

That's a silly rule. Eliminates a lot of fun.
I have borrowed a race car on occasion (thanks Larry), and lent my cars. Steve is driving my 66 Valiant. Years ago, I used to keep my 65 Valiant at the local track, as a "rent-a-racer".

Haven't done it since the 70's with race cars.Blew up my buddy's Hemi GTX on the big end of the track. I sure won't do it when the owner is not persent.But that's just me.

I can understand. With my cars it is not a big deal if it breaks, they are all low budget, and I figure if it breaks with someone else driving, it probably would have broken on me.

I just offered Steve my Valiant to compete in the NHRA Div #2, 1/8 mile bracket series. I can't afford to run it often enough to compete, and the car is already set up for 1/8 mile, and his car isn't ready. This way we can both have fun, since I can afford spectator admission every two weeks. He can drive, and I can maintain the car. We will see if he accepts. Just need to get rid of that darn misfire.

Mark, Take your "Sandstone" (Pink) car. You will have better luck with it (it is easier to be consistant with a slower car).
