It seems that the Denso 211-0121 is no longer available new and the only new alternators that interchange with 1988 Diplomat are the Chinese Knock-offs and of course re-manufactured.

Does anyone have a source for a quality alternator for this application. Wrecking yard is a possibility, but I prefer new.

Bought a locally rebuilt Denso from the same shop the rebuilt my wiper motor. It was a fair price and no shipping and handling.

That's usually the best deal if you have a good shop nearby. I live in the boonies and I think there are two very reputibule ones close. Wish we had any Mopar junk yards. They just weren't that popular here and the few there were got crushed years ago.
