Can these be replaced without disassembling the entire suspension? Also, what are the best type to get for a daily driver? Poly? Rubber? Something else? The car in question is a 1974 Dodge Dart.

I believe if you remove large nut at bushing and 2 bolts at control arm the rod will come off and you can remove inner half of bushing, clean up rod and install new bushings. A new set of the stock rubber bushings like Moogs are going to be a lot stiffer than your 74 aged bushings and should be fine for a daily driver

You will be removing most of the suspension...

I would check pricing on those bushings but I think the Energy Suspension ones are easy to get at your local auto parts store, are poly and good for the price (use them in my late cars with the 'fat strut' bushings).

Remember to get at these, you will:
1) remove torsion bar clip and undo the torsion bar toggle and bolt in the lower control arm (remember how deep it was-use tape measure or your ride height will be goofed up).
2) Remove the lower shock bolt and collapse the shock out of the arm and wire it out of the way (or remove completely)
3) loosen the lower control arm nut
4) Remove the front strut nut. Use rubber mallet to smak bolt and drive the LCA/torsion bar to the rear, prybar between LCA and K-member works good too.

Reinstall in reverse after you have replaced the bushings.

Dusters right, looked in my 71 factory repair manuel, it says to remove lower control arm with strut rod as an assembly to replace bushings, thought it might be like my 73 charger where the rod bolts to top of lower control arm with 2 bolts and can be removed with out pulling control arm
