i converted my 69 valiant to electronic ignition and added the dual field alternator with the extra wire going to the ballast resistor but i didnt change the voltage regulator to the electronic type but it does have a new solid state mechanical regulator on it so i thought i may not need to change it would it be a good idea to go to the electronic regulator
