The shop called and said they could do my windshield with the old gasket, by recommended replacing it. My dart is a 67 gt 2 dr hardtop. But it had the 68 up style trim clips. So would it use the 68 up style gasket or the 67? Any reputable and affordable suppliers that anyone would recommend?
Thanks!

Because of the labor involved, they probably don't want to mess with cleaning the old gasket, even though it may be in great shape under the dried glass sealers and crud.

In my half-dozen restorations, I've only found one that was unusable. The others took lots of TLC with rags, screwdriver, and a solvent. I use lacquer thinner for the best combination of price and effectiveness.

If you decide to do it yourself, be advised that it's messy!

If it's been converted to the 1968+ trim clips and chrome strip instead of the 1967 only 'aluminized brittle plastic strip', it' needs the 1968 gasket, most suppliers now list the 1967 gasket as such and ship you the 1968 because they don't know the difference. (1968+ trim and gasket seems to last longer than the brittle plastic gasket clip/trim).

Over the years most in the know guys always said to put the money down for the OEM style Chrysler gasket as the cheaper aftermarket ones tended to not fit well and leak soon after. I did this on my '76 and the windsheild was leak free for 8 years (Think the year one wiper kit finally gave out, and the windsheild just got the blame).

Also FYI most glass places (i.e. the chain stores like Safelite) will not touch your car since they can't guarantee it wont' leak from the word go...so you may be talking to a samller place or a reputable mom and pop place to do the work (and hopefully correctly).

Its a family owned place that's been in business for 50-60 years, I cleaned it up pretty good and soaked it with silicone spray. Pulled the glass of last year and drove it in with the replacement windshield in the back. It's not a daily driver and try to avoid rain, but I do wash it fairly often. I am unsure when the gasket was replaced/converted, but it was still somewhat hard. I may ask him to use extra sealant and just use the old one, he said it was up to me and he guessed 50/50 if it would leak. I'm providing the gamer and glass and did prep work (cleaned the frame, painted it, replaced trim clips) no pressure from the guy on the gasket, just wanted to run it by me.
