That's a great idea emsvitil! I'll try that first thing tomorrow! Fopar are you talking about hylomar? That's the head gasket sealant spray. Its there something else I should try besides gasket breaker and wd40?

I've heard acetone and ATF works better than WD40. Use 1 pint of each

As others said, do not lift on the intake! You should probably pull the engine at this point. If the head is "Glued" on ???, you will need to resurface both the head (if salvagable) and the block.

If you are sure all the head bolts are out...
Take a thin blade chisel and drive it into the head gasket "seam". until the head pops loose. ( a wedge is a powerful tool)
Use a chisel with a single angle, leading off one flat side, (woodworking chisel) and place the flat side down. Try to get between the head gasket and the head so the gasket protects the block's deck surface.
Choose a location on the manifold side, this avoids possible damage to the thin lifter gallery "rail", on the passenger side of the block.

Yes there is a solvent that is what they use to free the bond, check it out with them.

Well thank Jesus I have another 225 here... I just REALLY didn't want to pull the whole engine... Ugh! I will have to rebuild thebother head... Ok, well onward! I'll keep you all updated! I WILL get this head off at some point and I'll post pics!

I also have an extra heavy scraper that has a steel shank clear to the end. That could be driven in and may do less damage to the block / head than the chisel. Good luck.

Another vote for a wedge device like a trowel or drywall joint compound spreader.
