The new engine I put in has the center link hitting the back of the pan when I turn the wheel all the way over. Is there a fix for this that doesn't require pulling the engine and swapping pans?

I had lowered the front a little about 6 months ago using the torsion bars. I think I'll raise that back up and see if it solves it for now.

Some details, if it helps

69 Plymouth Valiant
Mid-70s block (early crank though. Boy was that fun!)
904 trans

The oil pan clears the k-frame just fine. It clears the center link most of the time, except about 3/4 of a turn in either direction it rubs.

After a bit of research, it seems the v8 and slant six center links are the same for this timeframe. Seems I may be stuck with either pulling the engine to swap the pan, denting the oil pan or raising the front back to stock height.

Double post, stupid phone... and then I loose the original.

Ok, raising the front end will not solve the problem. The center link is a constant distance from the oil pan and adjusting the T-bars won't change that. The only fix is to dent or replace the pan.

Motor mounts may be old/sagging. You could buy new or shim them up with some large (fender) washers. Otherwise, denting pan with a block of wood and hammer is what I would do.
