my brakes are not holding pressure and my master cylinder has started leaking fluid very badly. seems to be close to where it mounts to the fire wall. i dont see fluids coming out anywhere else. is it possible to clean and repair cylinder, or is that just a waste of time?

It is cheaper and faster to replace the master cylinder. Get one from NAPA Auto Parts if possible, or some one that will guaranty their products.

It would be good to flush all new fluid through the brake cylinders by bleeding each one to get rid of the contaminated fluid.

thank you again. my fluid is very dirty and i suspected that i should run fresh fluid till it runs clean. i will check into napa so far autozone has been steady the best deals, but would honestly rather buy somewhere else.
