I was on the way home today from a show when I noticed a clicking noise. It sounds like something rolling around in the dog dishes at low speed 0-10mph and above that it sounds the same as a caliper hitting a wheel. Car is drums on all 4 corners. It is speed sensitive and gets louder until 40-45mph. It sometimes turns into a creak or whine at cruising speeds. I checked treads for rocks, grease caps, lug nuts. Nothing. Any thoughts??

Go ahead and save that weird car, the sedan, the 6 cylinder, the C-Body. If you want a big block musclecar and that's all you care about, your missing the point.

Take the dog dishes and Beauty rings off the wheels and see if it goes away. :?:

I like Ceej's suggestion, but would go one further...

Sounds like you might need to pull the drums, probably one of the springs or adjuster cables has rusted through and snapped and it hitting the drum.

Seems to be intermittent as now nothing is happening but if it stays long enough I will try it. I have a lab day on Tuesday at school so I will bring the car into my brakes class
