Thank you gentlemen. The Dart is still out of commission, so I'll be in the blue truck with a stock, tired engine. I'm headed down to the shop after lunch to address the miles of rubber fuel line from the previous owner... Otherwise it sounds like I should be good to go.

Ceej, the weatherman says it's going to be a sunny 70deg, with a gentle breeze in the AM blowing almost directly down track.

:D

Got all the T&T action we could handle this evening!

It's a beautiful location and the track is fast!

We'll be here tomorrow, and depending on when we finish running tomorrow, may head back. If it's late we'll head out Sunday morning.

Lots of great cars have already arrived, with more to show tomorrow.

CJ

We had a field of ten cars today! :D

Bremerton's team is called the Killer Bees, by the way!

Four slant six cars, and a beautifully restored '33 Plymouth coupe running the original flat head. I'll bring the ladder in and get it posted.
Walt S. was unable to make it due to an injury. Get well soon Walt!

The weather was excellent, everyone at the track was great, and the track was fast. I put a 15.06 down with the Hooptie during T&T Friday night! Things slowed down a bit Saturday as the temperatures went up. Track prep was good Saturday, but only sticky the first bit of the T&T Friday.

Bremerton's track is on a runway with wide open spaces all around.
It took a bit of getting used to. The demarcation of distances is marked with cones. The finish line is right at the reader boards. The place is so wide open, it feels like your traveling much further than a quarter mile, after being crowded in with concrete barriers right on the track. If something goes wrong, you can turn out, and not have to worry about smacking a wall.
The layout is ideal, once you get used to it. Run out for fast cars is long. It just goes on, and on.... There was plenty of single digit action going on. I saw one car running in the 6's. The staging lanes are large, and it's super easy to get around the water boxes.
It's a left return road, in good repair.
The layout is excellent, with plenty of grassy camping spots. Like Redding, there is no water, so bring it with you. Trees surround the track, and you can see lots of stars at night. Light pollution was remarkably low for being on the back of an airport. With all the trees, you can't see much of the airport unless your on the high end of the track. At night, it's very quiet. Good snoozing kind of quiet. One of the local racers told me, like any track, there are meets that are rowdier than others. Our stay was peaceful.

The young lady at the timing booth put a dot on your windshield each time you won a round in competition. Trophies of a sort! When the winner of the final rolls up she put a big W on the windshield.

I rolled out with three dots and a W this evening.

Ethan, shoot me the link to the photos, and I will scan the ladder and get all the info to Inliner International for the magazine!

Definitely a fun crowd at Bremerton! If you have the chance, run there! :D

We'll get a full report with photos up soon!

CJ

Looks like fun! That is a NICE blue Sweptline you have Zorg! And that 68 Valiant is a gem. Someday I have to make it out to one of these events, hopefully with a slant six car to run!

Ya know, I've got a crank that could wake Zorg's truck right up.

But he'd have to want a zero deck stocker...

Come on Ceej, it's the only running rig I own. At least have the decency to let me get the good motor back together in my Dart before you go tempting me to build a new motor for the truck...

But do tell me more about this crank.

And now the bug has bitten!

4.200" Stroke. Chebby rod journals. 2.100" Nitride and had it Magna-Fluxed. It passed!

All the natural goodness you'd expect for a hot build!
