I believe it was intregral to the wiper motor (possibly the wiper switch)- it's not called out seperatly in the wiring diagrams. The wiper switch is fed directly from the ignition switch "accessory" circuit (black wire that changes to pink at wiper sw.)

thanks. i'm wondering if it is the gizmo that looks a lot like the IVR mounted on the back of the switch. in any event, it started working again... long enough for me to figure out that somebody has butchered the wiper motor. it has one speed instead of the three indicated by the switch, and operates intermittently.

my buddy pointed out to me that the cover is missing from the motor (hey, I didn't know what they look like!), and the wiring has obviously been altered. I bit the bullet and ordered a new motor. washer pump is out, too. I also need the T for the wash fluid line.

on a side note, I finally figured out the stumble in the acceleration. seems that someone decided to unplug the vacuum advance from the distributor! easy enough. like my buddy says, i'm gaining on it!
