Well Rick, we need many more folks to chime in.

If this meets approval, we'll leave it like that. I'll pull all the red and blue ink out, and post it in the rules for the year. Then we need to put it in the racing rules from the home page.

The issues that come up by not posting the rules up right after the annual meeting!

Next time, I will help get changes in. Contact me with the changes so we can flesh out the wording prior to starting the season. I'll be happy to make it happen. Keep meeting minutes! I recommend recording the sessions, east and west! That way we can see who's steering the boat. That'll be informative. I'll know who to ignore.

Here we are, in the thick of racing, and I'm catching flack from my team-mates for throwing wrenches in the works. Not my intent at all. These rules don't hurt the point accumulation at all. They need to be clear though.

Without the rules in place there are a lot of things that can go sideways. Lets get it in perspective!

Post up if you see something you think is right, or if you think it is wrong. We need the rules to be clear and concise.

CJ

Give me a day or so to read and contemplate, and I will respond.

Thanks,

Lou

The latest rewriting of the rules all looks correct and clear to me.

first round bye run it will be awarded to the low qualifier unless racers agree on another method.
I am perfectly fine with leaving this as is until the end of the year, but if we are doing a random ladder, I think the byes should be random as well. That is how we have been doing it anyway.

That's how the west coast does it as well. Since there is concensus among the racers to do it this way, we are meeting the current rule.

We can change it next year.

Hi CJ,

Thanks for the nudge. I have read through the discussions and the new rules as you have modified them. I am happy with these rules and we should "publish" them as official on the site.

Thanks very much to everyone for your input and work on this!

Lou

This is the new Current Copy list of rules.

I have created a new Current Copy Sticky. Who was maintaining the rules link? Can you update the rules from the Racing page?

Thanks! :D

CJ
Back when I was tryin' to help out with this, I had to ask Doug, NewLancerMan and/or Chuck to post updates in the Links part.

I was going to get access to mess with stuff myself, but that never happened.

Dudn't Guido have the keys to all the secret rooms... :?
