I will not be racing this year. Let's say that life has thrown a curve ball and it nailed the batter. More on that later in a different post.

Dave called yesterday. He already has camp set up, and has reserved a bunch of spaces for us!

Andrew called a bit ago. He fell asleep, and Jessie drove straight through to Woodburn! They are dropping the car at the track.

Hitting the road! See you at Woodburn! :D

I left Woodburn early Sunday morning, it was raining when I left but I needed to get home due to a big wind storm here. The car ran great all the way but I will have to say my butt still hurts after 26 hours in my unpadded seat. Now that I don't have to worry about running out of oil I was able to drive at 80 most of the way with few stops. I actually got home Monday at 7:30PM. As usual Woodburn puts on a fantistic race and treats us really nice. My driving was pretty bad but the car ran a 14.53 which is the fastest it has every gone with the 9:1 motor. Congrats to Dave Mueller on his win and CJ's runner up. I will have to tally up all the bills to see what this junket cost, I hope I have enough left to get to at least one more race this year. I need to make quite a few runs at a local test day to get used to racing the stick car again. Thanks to all the Killer Bees for putting on a great race.

Seymore you need to get a small gel pad or at least a foam pad like they use for gardening. That would make those long drives easier on your older butt bones.
It was good to see you again, now just relax for a few days.

Richard
