Well I will be getting my Duster soon and was playing with the idea of a sl6.org car ,and want some advise,i want to know if it is smart to try to make this a 15 sec. car,for it will be my daily driver? I was thinking since i will be rebuilding the engine, bore the block 30 over, shave the head .1 with a felpro gasket,do some street porting like D.I suggested, stock valves, springs, and puhrods, comp 252s cam, prolinefuels dual webers, and dutra duals with dual 2 in. pipes all the way back through flowmasters. Also a 8 3/4 rear with 3.23 sure grip. and trying to decide what to do wih the tranny. What do you think am i thinking street rod or a fast reliable daily driver?
open to all suggestions
thanks

I've been wondering the same thing, reliable 15sec. \6. What all would be involved, I would actually like to put a turbo on mine aswell but I'll never get around to that.

I already had a mini starter in the car, so yes. I doubt I will ever use a stock Mopar starter again. They were a great design for 40 years ago, but the minis are lower power and weight.

I drove my Duster all over when it was running 15's.

I also drove my '66 all over when it was running 14's.

jared,
to run 15flat you need to make 210hp for a 3100lb car. whith what you are talking about building you should be very clost to that. I expect to run right around 16sec 1/4's with my setup, and I havent touched the cam or the rear.
