Thanks for the points update, PJ. Sorry about the engine... :(

I'll update the Championship thread shortly.

Car count from the Killer Bees website is

Samoa 7/13 - 12
Samoa 7/14 - 11
Samoa/Redding Make-up 7/13 - 11

Looks like Andrew may have taken the points lead.

What happened to Lou... :? Did you guys kidnap him and plan to use his master mind for evil intentions like those Russian physiscicissts....

According to the Killer Bees website, bits from the pits, Lou won 1 round on Saturday in the first race then lost in the second round against CJ. 2nd race on Saturday he lost to CJ AGAIN in the first round  . On Sunday he lost in the first round to Wendy. I think I got that right.

Awesome weekend Howard Family Racing! Thanks so much for hosting the 3 race events and the fabulous BBQ (thanks to Linda and Frank Wright for hosting, too!) Must have that grilled potato recipe from Brandon please! The sun was shining the whole weekend...a first us at Samoa. Killer Bees rock!
...on to Medford.

It's all fixed now. Thanks! :D

Car count went up by 1 each day with Lou and he is now #2 in points.

Dutra's all made it home safely.
Allen had to work Monday so he took-off Sunday afternoon and was in the Bay Area by 11:00 PM
My wife and I stayed the night and took our time getting home on Monday, got home a 7:00 PM.
A great weekend... except for the bad case of "red light fever" I cought... while in Samoa.

Does anyone have any photos to share here? I've never been able to view the photos that are linked on the Bee webz site.

I worked in Blue Lake & briefly in Arcata on Friday, but couldn't break away to visit the Smokehouse.

Spotted several Rat Rod scooters in Blue Lake & 1 black 2 door '65 ish Valiant. I assumed the bikes were headed to the track. The V looked like a Hwy 299/101/1 daily driver. :)

Sure was nice escaping the Shasta County temps whilst working & didn't want to leave the coool coastal Friday weather, but the boss man had other plans for me. Has anyone heard how Guzzi's car is coming along, or if it's going to return to punish the asphalt, at all?

Loved seeing Mark's car & his passes @ last years lost coast event.

What a great trip and visit to Eureka/Samoa, CA!! Fantastic hanging with the Killer Bees.

BIG thanks to Jessica and Andrew Howard for sponsoring/hosting the race, BBQ, Men's Dormitory....

I could not get the car to hook on Sat, so my lights sucked until midday on Sunday, and then choked against Wendy anyway. Cool customer, she is...

The 68 turbo Dart fired right up in Vegas on Thursday, then we had a sublime 1.5 day drive to Samoa with perfect weather and some hiking in Lassen Nat'l Park, and a nice drive back to Salt Lake with a stop at the Bonneville Salt to enjoy the moment. Car is now safely resting in a storage unit near SLC airport, awaiting Speed Week in August.

Slant on,
Lou

Ah...cancel that request. There's a Killer Bee photo address that is spelled wrong on the site. Problem solved.

It's photos.killerbeeSracing.com not photos.killerbeeracing.com

I happen to copy & paste the singular bee addy, not the correct plural addy.

All these years and I've always wondered how those guys can gauge their dial in times...looks like they use the scientific method of putting one finger in the air and checking for wind. 8)

At one point over the weekend at Samoa, Andrew and Lou were tied for 1st place.

Apparently, Andrew's finger was calibrated a little better on Sunday!

Thanks go to PJ for sending me the photo so I could share it with you!
