I was considering buying this fuel pump, probably made in China, but is it an okay unit? or should I hunt down an used Carter unit? This is for a 73 Dart 225 slant, auto tranny, use mainly for street driving. Jerry

I Think if you order a New Carter fuel pump from Napa they are still made in usa so i Believe there still has to be some quality but if you want originality go for the old pump, just make sure the diaphragm is still good. That is the biggest concern or you will get about a gallon of fuel in you crankcase by the end of the day.

Go ahead and save that weird car, the sedan, the 6 cylinder, the C-Body. If you want a big block musclecar and that's all you care about, your missing the point.

I have had bad luck with Airtex stuff. Just my personal experience with my Mopar Magnum V8s.

I noticed electrical devices like IAC and TPS were not OEM quality. Can't comment on anything else so I'll bow out here.

thanks ILmopar, sean and kielbasa for replying... I have located some carter oem fuel pumps on ebay. My only question now is, fuel inlets from the fuel tank on mine is on the left, and outlet to carb is on the right. These on ebay, on some have the inlet on the right and outlet on the left, really doesnt make that much difference, since fuel goes in one end and out the other, just don't care for the fuel hoses crossing over each other, it's cramp enough already.

thanks
Jerry
